Film Noir Invitation

Overview
For this project, the objective was to design an invitation to an NYC film festival using existing black and white photos. I used Photoshop to color grade the original photos, arranged this project in InDesign following where the invitation would be folded. I created a document ready to print and printed on 160 gsm cardstock.
Design Process
Before touching InDesign, I sketched out potential folds for my invitation, not considering practicality at first. I was limited to what could fit on my 11x17 inch paper which I would find out later. I outlined the folds before transferring my idea to Indesign to work on. I was limited to black, white and just one other color. I used photoshop to color-grade the photos, keeping my single-use color consistent throughout all the photos and elements used. In my design I considered the folds and how the elements would be placed together. When I finished, I created a document ready to print, and printed on 160 gsm cardstock to give a professional feel to the project.
